Serge LeClerc, a self described former drug addict, violent gang leader and one of Canada's most-feared criminals, has pulled himself from the Saskatchewan Party caucus. After learning the
CBC received an information package containing audio recordings of LeClerc, allegedly, discussing drug use and hot homo sex, he says he needs the time to clear his name. While he admits the voice on the recordings sounds "a lot" like his, he would never had said those things. And he doesn't have sex with gay men!
"I don't have sex with gay men, and I don't do cocaine, and this is not me," Leclerc said. He also said he doesn't use marijuana, either.
But it is an interesting denial, isn't it? I mean, why not say "That's not me because I'm not gay", or simply, "I don't have sex with men, that can't be me". And really, Serge, don't rely on that whole converting to Christianity shtick for cover. You definitely don't want to go there.
snippets from the audio:
At one point on the recording, a voice is heard to say, "I had one guy come over with a little coke a few weeks ago and had great sex. He was one of the ones I weeded out, not because of the coke, just because of compatibility."
In another part of the recording, the voice refers to a visit from another male.
"I had a guy over that brought some weed over and we smoked up," the voice says.
Earlier this month, NDP Leader Dwain Lingenfelter said LeClerc had given him the finger in the assembly. Lingenfelter also claimed he was threatened in a November confrontation in the legislature rotunda. LeClerc denies the accusations.
An e-mail from Reg Downs, senior adviser to Wall, said LeClerc will also be removed from his unpaid position as legislative secretary to Corrections Minister Yogi Huyghebaert, where he was responsible for the "Corrections Facilities Initiative," and from his post as a member of the legislature's human services committee.
update As to why, well,
he lists several reasons. He's too old for this shit, he's stressed out, it's the NDP's fault, and he suffers from serious
sinus problems, vertigo and the after~effects from beatings and head injuries he suffered as a criminal. Oh, and because he is overweight it proves he didn't use cocaine!
Perhaps he could consult Rahim Jaffer about those sinus problems, possibly on how to avoid them. And why isn't jesus looking after all that other stuff? That must be the Dippers fault as well! Hmm, on second thought, it must be the Liberals fault! After all, they're the godless ones, right?
“The people that don’t know me, it doesn’t matter, they can believe what they want to believe. And at the end of the day the people who hate me because they are NDP supporters will hate me no matter what evidence comes out,” LeClerc said, describing himself as “emotionally and psychologically drained.”
Wall noted to reporters a negative drug test would not conclusively prove the incident in question did not occur.
When asked what it would take for LeClerc to return to the caucus, Wall said it “was such a speculative question.”
I think he's done.
