This can't be good. The CBC is reporting that an FBI agent has testified that Omar Khadr, identified Arar by name, but had never seen him in Canada.
Speaking at a hearing in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, on Monday, FBI Special Agent Robert Fuller said a then-teenage Khadr identified Arar from photos Fuller showed him during interrogations.
The interrogations took place at Bagram airbase several months after Khadr, who is accused of killing a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan, was captured in July 2002. The U.S. Department of Defence interviewed Toronto-born Khadr about a dozen times after his capture.
"He identified [Arar] by name," Fuller said.
"He said he had never seen him in Canada."
