Robert Dziekanski's killers to begin testiflying

Posted by Christian  |  at  22.2.09

A heads up for those interested. The Braidwood Inquiry looking into events surrounding the death of Robert Dziekanksi, resumes with the four mounties scheduled to tell their version of why Dziekanski had to be tasered 5 times. Ah screw it. Everyone knows this is nonsense. They won't be held accountable in any way, and they will say what cops always say after killing someone. "Gee, I thought he was a threat."

Anyway, the CBC will be carrying it online from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 2 p.m.-4:30 p.m. PT

Officers likely to say they followed protocol

RCMP constables Bill Bentley, Gerry Rundel, Kwesi Millington and Cpl. Benjamin Robinson will begin testifying Monday morning.

The officers will be asked about RCMP training and policy, as well as their service histories as it relates to excessive use of force, unlawful arrest or the care of people in custody.

All are expected to say they followed their training in dealing with the 40-year-old Polish immigrant.

Kosteckyj said he's not impressed with that at all.

"If that's what the training is, then we as the public deserve better," he said.
